Anton and Jimmy joined forces in 2013 with the shared vision of creating an app that would bring people together. Having both experienced the value of online gaming in creating and growing friendships, they launched some of the first virtual worlds on mobile. As an entirely self-funded team, Pocket Worlds rapidly iterated on the app Highrise, a sprawling virtual world where hundreds of thousands of people come together to build new experiences every day.
Whether we’re sharing the love with our teammates through tacos (it’s a PW thing), or equipping our community with the tools to build their own worlds, Pocket Worlds is all about taking ownership and empowering our people. Our plans for 2022 and beyond revolve around creating opportunities to keep building meaningful connections and impactful experiences in the metaverse. Hope to see you there!

We spent the first 4 years of our company self-funded while building Highrise, and that bootstrap culture lives on in every aspect of our work.
Feedback is how we learn, grow, and ultimately build 10x better products this year than we did last year. We have the courage to give radically honest feedback, and we have the confidence to accept feedback without ego. We believe that feedback is a gift.
